Vegan Liquid Foundation Brush: To achieve a flawless foundation finish, first use the Vegan Liquid Foundation brush to apply Argan Antioxidant Primer evenly over the face. Once absorbed, use the brush to apply foundation liquid or cream evenly over the face. Using a small amount of product at a time, lightly blend starting at the center of the forehead working outwards. Build using long sweeping strokes until desired coverage is reached.

Vegan Powder Brush: The Vegan Powder Brush can be used in conjunction with any Silk Oil of Morocco powder such as the Argan Powder Foundation, Argan Blush, Argan 7-in-1 Bronzer or Argan Body Shimmer. This brush has been designed with a slightly rounded head to enable the user to dust powder only where needed. Dip the brush tip into a small amount of powder then tap away excess product. Continue to apply powder to face. To apply Argan Powder Foundation buff in circular motions starting at the forehead and working outwards. To contour or add colour to face, lightly dust desired areas using short sweeping motions.

Vegan Eye Shadow Brush: The Vegan Eye Shadow Brush has been designed to apply Silk Oil of Morocco Argan Pressed Eye Shadow and Argan Eye Shimmer. For single colour application use the brush to apply chosen eye shadow to the entire eyelid. Use the brush to pat rather than brush across the lid to ensure product longevity and coverage. For triple colour application use the brush to apply the lightest colour first to the inner corners of the eyes as well as a light sweep just below the eyebrows. Use the medium shade next and pat from the middle of the eyelid out to the corner of the eye. Lastly using the darkest shade, to contour the eyelid. Start at the outside corner of the eye and lightly sweep up and around the center of the eyelid crease. Keep the colour intensity darkest along the lash line and fade out moving upwards.

Vegan Lip Brush: Use the Vegan Lip Brush to define lips and provide precise lip colour application. After lining lips, cover brush with lipstick then apply starting at the center of the lips blending outwards towards the lip line. Use the tip of the brush in short precise strokes to define the lip line and blend with lipstick or lip gloss. This brush can also be used in conjunction with Silk Oil of Morocco’s Argan Concealer to help cover small blemishes such as breakouts, redness and dark spots.

Cosmetic brushes can become coated with make-up residue, body oils and dead skin. Increased bacteria levels can negatively affect the proper application of make-up and can also cause skin irritation. Silk Oil of Morocco recommends that cosmetic brushes are cleaned after every use. See below tips and tricks to help keep cosmetic brushes clean and sanitised.

1. After use, wipe cosmetic brush with a fresh cosmetic wipe.
2. Once a week fill your sink or small bowl with a couple of inches of warm water and add 1 tablespoon of shampoo with 3-4 drops of tea tree oil and mix.
3. Place brush in the solution and gently rub the bristles between fingers for at least 30 seconds for each brush.
4. Rinse brush thoroughly in warm water, making sure all shampoo is removed.
5. Pat brush dry with a towel, then lay them flat and keep in a warm, dry location to finish air-drying completely. You may need to reshape the bristles on the brushes so that they retain their proper shape after they dry.

1. Should I boil my brushes to sterilize them?
Silk Oil of Morocco advise you not to boil your brushes as this can ruin the delicate bristles.

2. Can I use cosmetic cleaning products to clean my make-up brushes?
There are many cosmetic cleaning products on the market and most are fine to use to clean your brushes, however soaking them in warm water and cleaning with shampoo is just as effective.

3. How often should I replace my make-up brush?
Silk Oil of Morocco recommends customers replace their make-up brushes every 6-8 months to ensure flawless make-up application.

4. Is it ok to share cosmetic brushes with others?
It is generally not a good idea to share make-up brushes as it is an easy way to share bacteria that can lead to infection.
